Conditions for using the Academic License

Academic Licenses are available to universities and schools exclusively for research and educational purposes. As proof of affiliation to such an institution, we request that the institution email address is used in communication. We will not process requests from public service addresses such as hotmail, Yahoo mail etc.

Visage Technologies is permitted to list the name and URL of the institution on its web site in the list of Academic License users. The institution will be listed at the time a license key is requested and issued, and it will be listed until the license expires. Visage Technologies also reserves the right to publish the purpose for which the license is demanded, as stated in this request.

Furthermore, Academic License users agree to publish a link to the Visage Technologies web site in a visible place on their web site (e.g. on pages related to the project for which Visage Technologies software is used). Suggested text is "This project uses character animation software from Visage Technologies AB (www.visagetechnologies.com) under the free Academic License." The suggested text may be changed to suit the circumstances at the particular institution.

An Academic License is issued for the period of one year and can be prolonged subject to a report of activities related to using the license.

If Visage Technologies products under Academic License are used in research, and the results of such research are published, Visage Technologies requests an acknowledgement mentioning the company name in the published papers.
