visage|interactive™ is an interactive character animation player featuring automatic lip sync to natural or synthesised speech as well as full MPEG-4 Face and Body Animation support. It also includes plugins for integration with 3ds max.
Animation can be produced from plain text in any language using SAPI speech synthesis or from real speech (coming from an audio file or straight from microphone) using automatic real-time lip sync. Animation is shown on-the-fly, with full-screen mode ideally suited for live performances or presentations. Animations can be stored in the standard MPEG-4 FBA format so they can be reused. The player allows real-time merging of multiple animations from different sources, e.g. the body, head, eyes and eyebrows may be animated from one or more files while lips are synchronized on-the-fly to microphone input.
Full-body Biped animation can be exported from 3ds max™ and used in visage|interactive™ and other applications based on visage|SDK™, offering an easy path for using motion capture or manually created animations in any interactive application.
The animated character models from visage|interactive™ can be imported into 3ds max™ scenes for final rendering or integrated in other software products using visage|SDK™. Through the use of the MPEG-4 Face and Body Animation International Standard, animation sequences can be shared and reused across various platforms, applications and character models.
Automatic import and animation of FaceGen™ face models is supported through a simple converter utility distributed in the visage|SDK™ package.
