visage|life™ enables fast, semi-automatic preparation of virtual characters for real-time animation. Both full-body and face-only characters are supported.

Face models produced in any 3D modeller (e.g. 3ds max™, Maya™, Softimage™ etc.) are prepared for animation using the unique Facial Motion Cloning (FMC) technology that automatically produces 86 standard MPEG-4 FBA morph targets for the new face model, which immeditaley becomes capable of full facial animation.

Full-body characters are created as Bipeds in 3ds max™ and exported into visage|life™ using the provided 3ds max plugin; the morph targets for facial animation are then added automatically in visage|life using Facial Motion Cloning technology. The result is a full-body character with complete face and body animation capability.

The characters produced using visage|life™ are enabled for the full set of standard MPEG-4 Face and Body Animation Parametrs (MPEG-4 FAPs) and can be used in all applications created using visage|SDK™, as well as in visage|interactive™.
